Business trip to Alicante

June 17th, 2008 by debt-advisor

Last week, I went to Alicante at the Eastern coast of Spain for a business trip. Back in times of Roman it was called Lucentum, which also meant The City of Light.
In a business trip, unlike in a holiday trip, car rental absolutely necessary due the tight schedule that must be met. It’s too risky to depend on mass transportation, when we do not fully understand the route and the local culture.
As usual I consulted Carrentals.co.uk, a Car Hire comparison engine to find the best car rental in Alicante. It only takes 150 Poundsterling to rent a medium-sized SUV for nine days, I can end up renting twice the price if I dont use this comparison engine.

Video Conferencing for Our Office

June 16th, 2008 by debt-advisor

video conferencing equipment is already an ordinary office equipment all across the globe and we have representatives and also clients all around the world. However, many people make mistake when buying by only focusing on the equipment and place a little emphasis on the connection.
A few time, I joined a video conference station where the video streaming stuttered and even stuck due to bad internet connection, so it’s useless to have a top notch equipment if you can’t use effectively. The video equipment and a fast internet equipment will be installed in a couple of days and we hope that, it will improve our performance and coordination with our reps and clients all around the world.

Wrought Iron Decoration for Our Office

June 13th, 2008 by debt-advisor

After we looked into our office, we feel that we do need some ways to liven up the interior surrounding of our workspace. After a heated debate, we finally choose wrought iron decoration instead of those made from wood. There are two things that we consider drapery rods and chair.

The drapery rods would be used to hang curtains that we hope will fill empty spaces caused by the blank wall. We also considered putting some paintings on the wall, but I think we must place the curtain first as the background of our decoration. The color of the curtain would also influence the hue of the painting. We think that a pink curtain would be perfectly matched with painting dominated with light blue color. Rods with pine cone tips should be nice with our taste and it would also match with our work philosophy that places emphasis on sharpness and straightforward. I feel that we must endure another heated debate about the type of curtain materials and its color.

One of the employees is a great fan of Paris Hilton, that’s why he insists on purchasing a Paris Swivel Counter Bar Stool. Most of us regardless of our preference on Paris Hilton kind of like this chair. Its curved and tall shape is quite interesting. I think it would be great for our mini bar.

So, the first phase of our decoration effort began by ordering this product online. It takes two complete hours of another heated debate in front of the computer about which iron wrought product to choose. The ladies that must have been driven their shopping frenzy genes in their DNA begged to buy more products, while the inconsistents among us insist on a change of product type. But in the end the purist among us prevailed and we finally purchase products like in our original decision.

All I can say is….I’m tired and need some good night sleep….

Our office is in urgent need for air purifier

June 10th, 2008 by debt-advisor

Our office is located in the heart of the city, so you can expect there are a lot of old buildings. A quite ancient office building about 100 yards from our office is being demolished to be replaced by a new office tower.

The problem is, in the past few days dust accumulate a lot faster than usual. Some of the employees who alergic to dust begin to sneeze continuously and we are concerned that electronic equipments, like PC and copier might deteriorate due to the dust. Of course, the most logical answer is to install air purifier to filter the annoying dust accumulation.

After consulting an air purifier faq, I think i will install a HEPA air purifier in my office.

Really cheap phone cards

June 9th, 2008 by debt-advisor

My work colleagues are currently in Great Britain to negotiate some important business deals, that is the biggest in its value for our company this year. We have prepared for a long time for this opportunity. I am staying at our office to provide them with necessary supports and handle our other clients.
Email, text messages and chat is our ordinary method of communication with our staffs abroad, but sometimes nothing can beat direct live communication through phone line.
We have looked for the most affordable and reliable ways to communicate with voice. One of them is by using the phone cards.
We found that by using United Kingdom phone cards, it only cost 0.4 cent per minute, some of the phone cards even have free connection fee. These phone cards have really saved a lot money that can be used for other needs.

Trade Show Exhibits for Our Garage Sale

June 9th, 2008 by debt-advisor

After our charity event this week, our neighborhood will do some garage sales. A portion of our sales would be given as charity to the poor and orphans in our town. Most of the display would use tables from the house of our community members, but a few premium items would be sold on a trade show display.

We have purchased these trade show exhibit booths, at bargain price, I’ll tell about the result of our garage sale in a few days.

Furniture for my Uncle’s New Condo

June 7th, 2008 by debt-advisor

Finally my uncle find a great condo in the heart of Chicago. However, he is staying for only a couple of years, so he decided not to bring any appliances and furnitures from his older house in San Diego.

That’s why I help him to look for online furniture seller. He loves those wooden furniture with classic appearance. Especially a nice captains bed in his bedroom. Because of his short stay in Chicago, he will only fill the rented condo with minimal furniture, so what he really needs to buy is bedroom furniture.
After giving some thought we decide to buy furnitures from Furniturefromhome.com. We decide to pick this seller because they offer attractive offers, such as

  • Free national delivery
  • Good reputation and experience
  • Full support on online shopping
  • Plenty of furnitures on sales, up to 30%

In the future, we will consider buying other home office furnitures from this seller.

Looking for T-shirt designer

June 6th, 2008 by debt-advisor

My neighborhood will do a charity event to help the poor in our town. Almost everyone is assigned a specific task and I have the responsibility in purchasing hundreds of T-shirts for this event. After looking in Google, I found a good site to design t-shirts called BlueCotton that allow you to design your own T-shirt.
Their software, the BlueCotton Design Studio is really easy to use, in just 30 minutes I’m able to design T-shirt for our charity event.

If you ever use any graphic design application like Photoshop or Corel Draw you’ll be quickly familiar with this tool. It allows you to choose texts, colors and pictures based on your needs.
The limitation is only at your imagination.

Looking for Condo Rent for my Uncle

June 5th, 2008 by debt-advisor

Looking for condos rental can be tricky, the price can be right but the condo might be not suitable for your taste. My uncle is moving to Chicago and he will live there for a couple of years so looking for house mortgage might not be the right choice. After looking in the internet I find that Chicago Illinois condominium association site provides good information on condominium management chicago.
In this way, he could easily pick any condos that he likes. All he needs to do is to access the Chicago association management page.
There are also other sites that provide information on condo rentals in chicago and apartments in chicago. All I can say is, I hope he would have a nice time in the Windy City.
